Giveaway brands attract impersonators. Someone will eventually use the SFLK name to tell a stranger they won something and then ask them for money. This page exists so you can check, in under a minute, whether a message claiming to be from us is real. Short version: if there is a payment involved, it is not us.
SFLK will never ask you to pay anything to claim a prize.
No fee. No tax. No shipping charge. No customs charge. No “release fee,” “verification fee,” or “insurance deposit.” No gift cards, no wire, no crypto, no “just cover the courier.” There is no amount and no explanation that makes this legitimate. Anyone who asks a winner for money is not SFLK.
How a real SFLK message reaches you.
We contact a winner using the details they gave us at entry — nothing else. That means the channel a message arrives on is itself a signal, and the channel scammers overwhelmingly use is the one we never open with.
- Email the address you entered with, from our official address.
- Write to the mailing address you entered with, if we need to.
- Post the result publicly to the winners record once it is verified.
- Ask a winner to sign an eligibility affidavit and release, as the Official Rules describe.
- Open contact with a social-media DM. That is the exact channel impersonators use, so we do not use it first, ever.
- Announce a winner only in a comment reply or a DM.
- Send a claim link through a shortened or unfamiliar URL.
- Put a deadline of “one hour” on a real prize claim.
If a message shows up as a DM from an account you have never interacted with, claiming you won, treat it as fake until you have confirmed it by emailing us at the address below yourself. Do not reply to the DM to check — a scammer will happily confirm they are real.
Every channel SFLK actually operates.
SFLK has no social accounts yet. Not one — the handles above are unclaimed, and we would rather say so than let a placeholder pass as real. So there is currently no such thing as an official SFLK Instagram, TikTok, or X account. Any account using our name today is an impersonator. When we do claim handles, they will be listed here first, and this page is the only list we will treat as authoritative.
What to do about an impersonator.
- 01Send nothing.No payment, in any form, for any reason. Once money leaves by gift card, wire, payment app, or crypto, it is effectively gone.
- 02Share nothing sensitive.No card number, no bank or routing details, no account password, no one-time login code, no remote-access session. A real prize claim needs none of them.
- 03Screenshot everything.The profile, the handle, the full message thread, any link or payment address. Capture it before the account gets deleted — it usually does.
- 04Report the account to the platform.Every major platform has an impersonation report flow. That is the fastest route to a takedown, faster than anything we can do from outside.
- 05Report the scam officially.In the U.S., file with the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov, and if money was already sent, with the FBI at ic3.gov.
- 06Tell us.Forward it to hello@sflk.example. We cannot recover money, but we can confirm whether a message was ours, and we will file impersonation reports where the platform allows it.
What SFLK will never ask you for.
- A password. Not your SFLK password, not your email password, not a one-time code sent to your phone. Staff never need one and will never ask.
- A banking login.No online-banking credentials, no bank-verification app, no screen share of your account to “confirm the deposit.”
- Your full SSN by message. Never over DM, chat, or text. If a prize is large enough to trigger IRS reporting, a winner completes a tax form as part of the documented claim process described in the Official Rules — after the win is verified, never as a condition of receiving it, and never through a link someone sent you.
- A card number. Purchases happen in our own checkout and nowhere else. We will never take payment details over email, DM, or a phone call.
- A payment for entries outside the shop. The rate is published and identical for everyone: $1 = 5 entries. Nobody at SFLK will offer you a private rate, a bonus-entry bundle over DM, or entries in exchange for money sent anywhere other than checkout. And the free mail-in route is 175 entries for the price of a stamp — if someone asks you to pay for free entries, that alone tells you what they are.
How to check whether a winner is real.
SFLK has not drawn a winner yet. Zero draws, zero winners, as of 2026-07-31. SFLK-01is the first edition and it is still open. So any “SFLK winner” announced anywhere right now — a name, a screenshot, a congratulations DM — is fabricated. There is nothing yet for it to be true of.
Once draws do start, here is how to check one:
- Every verified winner is listed on the winners record with name, state, edition, and verified date. If a claimed winner is not there, we have not confirmed them.
- Every edition we have ever run is listed on the giveaways page. If someone says you won an edition that is not listed there, that edition does not exist.
- Winner selection, notification, and the claim process are written down in the Official Rules. Anything a message asks of you that is not in there is not part of our process.
- When in doubt, email us directly at the address below — typed in yourself, not copied from the suspicious message. We will tell you plainly whether it came from us.
